2730069 - Workflow on Annualised Salary not Triggered

A workflow set up to trigger of changes to annualised salary dose not trigger.

When you change employees compensation info and in here do following:

1 Click the "Amount" cell

2 Change value, but do not click yourself out from the cell.

3 Click directly on "Submit" button without navigating around.

4 No Workflow is triggered and the record is saved.

This is expected behaviour.

The annualised salary value is calculated after changes are made to the pay component amount field. If you select save after adjusting the amount without clicking outside of the box or carrying out some other change. The system will trigger the workflow before the annualised salary is calculated and thus the if conditions of the rule will not be meet and the workflow will not be triggered.

The following workarounds can be used in the meantime:

• When entering the value users can select anywhere else on the screen before selecting submit.
• A raise message can be created which would also allow end users to click outside of the cell and also trigger the correct workflow.
