You are able to see the fields DateFrom and DateTo in the data source. But the same are not available in the Personnel File of the Employee in Personnel Administration work center.

The data source HCMEMPB uses the key type "Based on validity dates". This can be seen in the documentation available in the portal for the data source in the Work center Business Analytics.
Certain attributes of Employee Data are time dependant for example Workplace Address. The key type "Based on validity dates" allows the flexibility to filter the data for different time periods.
With the validity dates key the characteristics DateFrom and DateTo are added to the view elements of the data source.
