Symptom

 One Time deduction and recurring deduction not visible in take action

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile

Reproducing the Issue

1. Navigate to users profile 
2. Click 'All Actions'
3. See that One time Deduction and Recurring Deduction options are not visible under Take Actions

Cause

Lack of Permissions

Resolution

Verify that the following permissions are correctly assigned to permission role:

  1. Update Employment Records (displayed as “Take Action”) - View

  2. Manage Deductions — confirm that Create, View, and Edit permissions are enabled.

  3. Check whether the Configure Deduction Screen ID object is set to secured in Configure Object Definitions

    • If it is secured, ensure that the user is also granted access to:
      MDF Foundation Objects → Configure Deduction Screen IDs

    • If it is not secured: no additional permission is required for this object.
