2734001 - ALV Grid: Layout for spool list when running as a background job, spool request not show the complete contents of the column

Symptom

Program was scheduled as a background job. When the program is executed online the output is created using ALV grid and a default layout is applied optimizing the column width. However, the output in the spool list for a job is cut off.

e.g. run transaction CN46N in background, the print out in SP01 shows

„Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
