2734179 - Standard Fields Not Translated in Custom Data Source

Symptom

You have created a joined data source using the standard data source Opportunity Header. The standard fields like Start date and Close date are not translated in the joined data source when logging in to other languages.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

Log in to any other language than English:

  1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
  2. Go to Design Data Sources.
  3. Open the join data source you have created.

The standard fields like Start date and Close date are not translated.

Cause

When you add some standard fields like Start date to a custom data source, it brings the ID along with it in a closed bracket. If you remove the ID and the brackets, the system will consider it as a custom label. These custom labels will not be translated.

Resolution

Please remove the fields and add it again without editing the field label. Then these fields will be translated similar to other standard fields.
