2734333 - When Selecting a Hold Status On a Job Requisition, the System Does Not Consider it as On Hold - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When the job requisition is sent to the Hold status, the system keeps counting the Age and time to fill even after checking the option "Exclude time spent in Hold Status" (check article 2156971) and the code 88888 is configured for the picklist (check article 2662475). The system does not recognize the status as a hold status.

Environment

SAP SucessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Recruiting Module;
  2. Select a job requisition;
  3. Change the status to Hold;
  4. Wait at least one day to check the Age and Time to fill of that job requisition got increased;

Cause

  • When using MDF picklist, the 88888 number is configured for the value field, but the system does not recognize it.
  • The option 'Exclude Time Spent in Hold Statuses' is not checked in Manage Recruiting Settings.

Resolution

The option 'Exclude Time Spent in Hold Statuses' is not checked in Manage Recruiting Settings.

If this option is not checked in Admin Centre -> Manage Recruiting Settings, the system will continue to count the age of the requisition even if the requisition has been put on hold.

The Value of the status should be "99999" for closed status and "88888" for hold status.

  1. Go to Admin Center  Configure Object Definition and select Object Definition in the first search menu.
  2. Type the picklist value in the second search menu and select this object.
  3. Choose Make Correction from the Take Action menu.
  4. Locate the OptValue field from the Fields section.
  5. Choose Details to see all properties of this field.
  6. Set the Visibility property to Editable.
  7. Choose Done to close the Details dialog and save your changes.
  8. Go to Admin Center  OData Metadata Refresh and Export and choose Refresh to refresh the metadata.

You can now view and edit OptValue field in Picklist Center to set the picklist value of 99999 to a closed requisition status or 88888 to a hold requisition status.

If the status isn’t 99999 status, an attempt to close the requisition fails and the recruiting user gets an error message on the Job Requisition Details page.

Once the requisition is closed, recruiting users with appropriate button permissions can click the Reopen button and change the requisition state back to Approved.

If the status is a 99999 status, an attempt to reopen the requisition fails and the recruiting user gets an error message on the Job Requisition Details page. The Recruiting user can change the status to an appropriate non-99999 status and click the Reopen button.
