2734352 - Some Employee's Names are Displayed as 'Name Surname' and Others as 'Surname Name'

You don't know why some employee's names are displayed as 'Name Surname' and others as 'Surname Name' in the Employees viewL

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Administration work center.
2. Go to the Overview view.
3. Click Employees.
4. Search employee ABC (ABC being the name of an employee).
   Result: You will see that the name is displayed as 'Last Name + First Name'.
5. Search employee XYZ (XYZ being the name of another employee).
   Result: You will see that the name is displayed as 'First Name + Last Name'.

The same happens in the People work center > Employees view.

Different countries with different name format configurations may exist in your system and can be assigned to an employee's address. As each employee usually has a unique address, the order of the employee names may be displayed differently as well.

First, you need to check the country assigned to each employee.

1. Go to the Administration work center.
2. Go to the Overview view.
3. Click Employees.
4. Search and open the employee affected.
5. Check the Country assigned in the Address field.

Secondly, you need to check the configuration for this country.

1. Go to the Business Configuration.
2. Go to the Implementations Projects view.
3. Click Open Activity List.
4. Search an open General Business Partner activity.
5. Click Name Formats.
6. Select the Country related to your employee.
7. Find the Details of Name Format, as visible in below example.
