2734530 - DB locks on the discounts table

We are using hybris Commerce Suite and have the issue that there are locks on the discounts table when a lot of people try to use the same PromotionVoucher.

Observed are a lot of UPDATE statements like the one below:

UPDATE discounts SET hjmpTS = 30790 ,modifiedTS='2017-12-01 13:33:16.278' WHERE PK = 8797208084528

The PK is always the same, it’s the PromotionVoucher. Basically these statements just set the modifiedTS. Sometimes these statements get stuck and accumulate on the DB. Some other actions on the storefront are held up waiting to acquire the lock. This for example blocks all further checkouts involving the specific PromotionVoucher.
