After you have followed the migration process, test the Skillsoft connector and decommission the extension.
Please test your Skillsoft connector. Do not begin the decommissioning process until you are satisfied that the Skillsoft connector runs as expected. When you are ready to decommission the extension you contact Customer Success to run a clean-up script and you remove all extension properties (optional).
SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS)
After you (or your customer if you are an LMS implementation consultant) have signed off and verified the Skillsoft connector is working as expected, Success Connect runs a clean-up script in your LMS environment. The script removes the extension from the customer’s environment (extension menus, workflows, and so on).
To request the script, log a ticket with Customer Success. You can copy and paste the following text to request the script:
"Please proceed with running the standalone OLSA Extension Clean-up Scripts
as we have tested and verified all settings in our LMS [indicate Sandbox, Stage, or Production]
instance. Please be sure to perform a rolling restart on the application nodes after the script has
been run as this is required for the changes to take effect and propagate across all nodes."
For script execution, there is no system downtime or outage required. A rolling restart can be performed by Cloud Operations with the LMS still up and available for all users and administrators.
Additionally, remove the Extension Connector Properties. The upgrade scripts do not remove the extension properties, so they remain in the CONNECTOR properties file until you remove them. After you run the script, the system ignores them.
To avoid confusion, we recommend that you remove the old properties. Go to:
- System Admin > Configuration > System Configuration > CONNECTORS >
- Delete all properties with the prefix skillsoftitem and skillsoftsubjectarea.
