Symptom
You created a custom facet using Key User Adaptation Tools in a given document, but when you try to add a pane container to that custom facet, there's no option to create a new or add an existing one.

Reproducing the Issue

Go to the document ABC where you have your custom facet.

Click on Adapt button.

Click on Edit Master Layout.

Hover your mouse over the custom facet title.

Click on the Add Items button ("+").

Select Add Pane option.

The Add Pane window will appear, but you don't have any option to create or add an existing one.
Cause
The addition of pane containers is not supported via Key User Adaptation Tools for custom facets.
Resolution
If you need to add pane containers to a custom facet you can only do this via UI Designer.
If you need this functionality urgently you may contact your implementation manager to help with such request or approach directly the SAP Cloud Service Center.
