2736207 - Return Quantities Shows * in Sales Order Return Rate Report

Symptom

You created a return for product ABC, in the report of Sales Order Return Rate, the return quantities shows * instead of the actual returned quantity. (ABC represents the ID of the product)

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign all versions.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales Orders work center.
  2. Go to Returns view.
  3. Open return DEF and go to Items tab, there are more than 1 line for the product ABC with different quantities. (DEF represents ID of the return)
  4. Now open the report Sales Order Return Rate, filter and show the return DEF, in the Return Quantities field, system shows * instead of the actual total quantity.

Cause

Different UoMs are used in the return DEF for the product ABC. For example, there are 2 lines in the return for the same product ABC.

  • line#10, product ABC, planned quantity is 1 ea.
  • line#20, product ABC, planned quantity is 2 case.

The report does not support different UoM and cannot calculate total quantity based on quantity conversion in product master. Hence, report shows * in the Return Quantities field.

Resolution

This is currently the system the designed behavior.
