Symptom

It shows mess code when importing data list containing special characters

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

  1. Go to Onboarding > Reference File > Data List>Select the list then click on Export List
  2. Make modification of the list then save it
  3. Go to Import to import the modified list
  4. Then It shows mess code when importing data list containing special characters

Cause

When you export the list it saved as .CSV(Comma Delimited), it transformed special characters into mess code

Resolution

Open the CSV file downloaed and then save the format as .CSV UTF-8(Comma Delimited), then import again.
