2738050 - New Absence button is missing - Leave of Absence

Symptom

User can not view New Absence button after selecting Manage leave of Absence.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Employee's profile;
  2. Click on Actions and select Manage Leave of Absence;
  3. New Absence button is not visible;

Cause

This is a role based permission issue

Resolution

  1. Now navigate to "Manage Permission Roles";
  2. Select respective role;
  3. Click "Permissions...";
  4. Go to "Manage Time Off" section;
  5. Check "Time Account";
  6. Give at least edit permission;
  7. Click done;
  8. Save changes;
  9. Sign out and then log back in;

Please note: If EmployeeTime Object Definition is set to "Secure: Yes" then you need to enable this permission as well in the configured Permission Category.

If EmployeeTime Object definition is set to "Secure: No" then you need to enable Permission to "Access to Non-Secured Objects".
