Symptom
You have developed an application in Web IDE for the Development(Q) system now you want to trasport this app to the Production(P) system but you are getting an error in the Web IDE while trying to deploy the app:
Failed to retrieve the ATO settings of '<XXXSystem>'. This is an S4 system that isn't configured as an Extensibility Development system.
You cannot deploy to it. Check the system configuration.
Environment

Reproducing the Issue
- Create an identity provider for both Q and P systems
- Create the communication scenario and the communication system as in Q system:
- Select the identity provider of P in Web IDE
- Select your system and select "Deploy a new application" then you see the following:
Error message:
Failed to retrieve the ATO settings of '<XXXSystem>'. This is an S4 system that isn't configured as an Extensibility Development system.
You cannot deploy to it. Check the system configuration.
Cause
Direct deployment of a UI in the Production system is not supported.
Resolution
You have to deploy the app in the Q system and then transport it to the P system.
To transport the UI from Q to P:
- Log on to the Q system and open the Export Software Collection app.
- Open the software collection and choose Add Items.
- In the subsequent dialog, search for items of Type "Custom UI". The list of UIs that have been deployed from WebIDE will be displayed.
- Select the UI that you want to transport and choose OK.
- Also, do not forget to add the custom catalog extension that you have created for the custom UI to the software collection.
- Export the software collection version from the Q system.
- Finally, log on to the P system and import the collection version in the Import Software Collection app.
