2739541 - How to Modify the Material Unit Costs

Your requirement is to Edit the Material Unit Costs. But you are unable to use the migration tool as migration supports only create new scenario of Material Valuation Data.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center
2. Select Implementation Projects view or Overview
3. Search and Open the activity Migration of Material Valuation Data
4. Select Migrate material valuation data using the migration tool
5. Upload the Migration File
6. Select the Properties button
7. The option Modify Already Existing Records is not available on field Migration Mode

Modify Already Existing Records or Mass Data Maintenance is not supported to update the existing Material Valuation Data.

To modify the Material Unit Costs, you may follow the below steps:

1. Go to Inventory Valuation work center
2. Go to Master Data view
3. Go to Material Unit Costs view
4. Show All Unit Costs
5. Select the button Import Unit Costs->From Microsoft Excel
6. Fill the required fields with the data
7. Logon to SAP Business ByDesign in the Microsoft Excel using your user credentials
8. Fill the data in the respective fields
9. Select Save Data To option
10. Upload the file using Excel Add-in

Prerequisite:

Install the Microsoft Excel Add-in to use the above functionality.

Once the Microsoft Excel upload is successful, you may verify Material Unit Costs as below:

1. Go to Inventory Valuation work center
2. Go to Master Data view
3. Go to Material Unit Costs view
4. Show All Unit Costs
5. Find the respective Material ID
6. Select Edit
7. In the Valuation tab, select the respective Companies/Business Residence
8. At the bottom of the screen, check the Details section and verify the Material Unit Costs
