While saving payment information for an employee, an error is thrown as ???Saving of 1 PaymentInformationV3 throwed a Exception???.

This error will usually occur if you have created custom Payment Information Detail and set the external code to string.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central 2.0 - Payment Information

Navigate to employee's payment information and try to save payment information > Error is thrown

This issue will occur if incorrect data type is set in external code of the object.

Check for which country issue is occurring and check if payment information details object for that country has been set as externalCode to 'String'. If yes, Set the externalCode to Auto Number in payment information details object.

• Configure Object Definitions > Object Definition > Select the object
• Edit > Select details of externalCode and set Data Type to Auto Number and save.
