2739662 - Error : “Update Not Possible; Specified Data for SERVPROD_VALU_DATA with Key COMPANY_UUID-CONTENT = `XYZ` AND SERVICE_PRODUCT_UUID-CONTENT = `ABC` doe” While Migrating Service Valuation Data

Symptom

While migrating Service Valuation Data, you experience the following error:

“Update not possible; specified data for SERVPROD_VALU_DATA with key COMPANY_UUID-CONTENT = `XYZ` AND SERVICE_PRODUCT_UUID-CONTENT = `ABC` doe”.

(In this document, XYZ and ABC serve as placeholders for actual UUIDs.)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Enter the Overview view.
  3. Search and open the activity Migration of Service Valuation Data.
  4. Click on the link to Migrate service valuation data using the migration tool.
  5. Select the respective file with migration mode Add new records.
  6. Click on the Execute Migration button.
  7. Select Step-by-Step.
  8. Continue with the migration wizard until step 3.
  9. After the simulation, an error message states “Additional message generated; see help for more information”.
  10. Click on Display Help.
  11. System will show message “Update not possible; specified data for SERVPROD_VALU_DATA with key COMPANY_UUID-CONTENT = `XYZ` AND SERVICE_PRODUCT_UUID-CONTENT = `ABC` doe”.

Cause

The combination of Service ID and Company has not been maintained in the Valuation tab of the Service record (either during the initial migration of the service data or in the UI).

Resolution

The company for which the service valuation data is being migrated has to be maintained in the Service Valuation master data. This data can be maintained by using the Migration of Services activity in business configuration while using the "Enhance Already Existing Records" mode, or through the UI by following the below steps:

  1. Go to the Product Portfolio work center.
  2. Enter the By Services view.
  3. Search for the service.
  4. Click on the Edit button.
  5. Click on the View All button.
  6. Navigate to the Valuation tab.

Here, maintain the company for which the service valuation data is being migrated.
