2739969 - Variable Pay - 900-001-6 Error while accessing " Edit Employee History"

While accessing a Variable Pay plan you get an error message when selecting Edit Employee History.

This is under Plan Setup> Manage Users> Edit Employee History

The message you get will be as follows

This issue is caused by a background element being disabled which is linked to your Variable Pay plan.

In the below example I have varPayEmpHistDataECTraining background element disabled within Admin Center> Company Settings> Manage Business Configuration.

In order to correct this you can do one of the following:

1. Use an active background element and import employee data again. This will override the existing records and will allow you to access the history.
2. Enable the disabled background element within Business Configuration which will allow you to access the history.

In order to establish which element is linked to the problem plan please download the template xml and check the following.

With this you can then check Business Configuration and see the elements is status.

This needs to be checked within the xml as the element will not appear in the UI once disabled.
