2742100 - Ensure Unique Storage Location IDs Across Plants

Symptom

In Organizational Structure, an attempt is made to use the same storage location ID in different plants. The following error is raised:

"Target ID is used already for another Entity of the same type"

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Organizational Structure in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
  2. Attempt to assign the same storage location ID to different plants.
  3. Observe the error message: "Target ID is used already for another Entity of the same type". 

Cause

IDs of storage locations must be unique across all plants. 

Resolution

  1. Review the storage location IDs assigned to each plant in the Organizational Structure.
  2. Ensure that each storage location ID is unique across all plants.
  3. Correct any duplicate IDs to resolve the issue.
