Symptom

A plant needs to be assigned to a sales area in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Cause

This task is part of the organizational setup (customizing activity) within the system configuration.

Resolution

  1. Open the “Manage Your Solution” app
    • You can find this app from the SAP Fiori Launchpad.
  2. Click “Configure Your Solution”
    • This opens the SSCUI (Self-Service Configuration UI) catalog.
  3. Search for SSCUI 102287
    • Description: Set up an organizational structure for your company.
  4. Open the configuration activity
    • Go to Step 21: “Assign Sales Organization – Distribution Channel – Plant”
    • In this step, assign the relevant Plant to the corresponding Sales Organization and Distribution Channel.
