VE Viewer does not read redlines and markups created in Siemens ECL Viewer.

The Siemens ECL Viewer markup format is a closed, undocumented, binary format that has proved difficult to reverse engineer.

Unfortunately, the replacement technology is just a replacement offering, it does not offer substitutability regarding reading legacy data.

No support has been provided by Siemens to read the ECL collaborations.  Without assistance, the format has proved difficult to reverse engineer.

With the current SAP standards, all formats need to be open, and adhere to a published schema - which the SAP 3D VE Viewer does.
