2743362 - Application Error upon viewing a Preview of an Adhoc Report

When previewing an Adhoc report, the system throws an Application Error with a fingerprint ID such as:

• fingerprint: 0e93efd4-8c91-4b5f-b992-02686001478b
• fingerprint: e29a3f2ac405a11269257efd8a4c037c6813089c

Additional behaviors observed:

• Running the report offline results in an empty file being downloaded.
• Running the report online causes it to remain in a continuous loading state without completing.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Build an Adhoc Report.
2. Try viewing its preview.
3. An Application Error is displayed, and the Splunk logs show an error similar to:

Multiple parents have been defined for ectint.*

This issue occurs when the same HRIS field is defined in multiple elements.

Example:
If the field pay-group is defined in both jobInfo and compInfo, the system will display the error message.

• In Manage Business Configuration (BCUI), set the visibility of the duplicate field to None in one of the elements.
• If the field needs to be available in both elements only to handle country-specific data, ensure that the field is instead added either to:
  • the CSF-Succession Data Model, or
  • the corresponding country-specific element in BCUI (Manage Business Configuration).
