2743939 - XML Payload to JSON Conversion in REST receiver adapter

You are configuring REST receiver adapter and would like to convert XML payload to JSON. You find some relevant functionalities and would like to know how they work in XML/JSON Conversion, the braces {} and brackets [] will be removed or not under different configurations. For example,

1. An option called "Strip Outer element" under Data Format tab allows to remove the wrapper in XML payload.
2. A module parameter called "setIgnoredElements" for the REST receiver channel is introduced in note 2465948. It takes the String values defining the XML tag, which should be removed from the JSON message after converting the XML payload.
3. "Array Type" in "Custom XML/JSON Conversion Rules" table allows to specify whether an XML element should always result in a JSON array type even if the element occurs only once, as introduced in note 2175218.
