2743980 - Unable to edit Cross Calculations or create calculated dimensions when adding linked model on the table in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Unable to create Calculated dimension after adding linked model on the table in SAP Analytics Cloud

Scenario 1:

1. Log on to SAC tenant.
2. Create a story with Table on sample model [BestRunJuice_SampleModel].
3. Add Linked Models to another model.
4. Click Add Measures/Dimensions to add Cross Calculations from model [BestRunJuice_SampleModel].
   => The Cross Calculations shows grey and cannot be edited any more.
   => Calculated dimension buttion is also cannot be found.

Scenario 2:

1. Log on to SAC tenant.
2. Create a story with Table on sample model [BestRunJuice_SampleModel].
3. Click Add Measures/Dimensions to add Cross Calculations from model [BestRunJuice_SampleModel].
4. Add Calculation to the Cross Calculations.
5. Set Filters for Cross Calculations by selecting only one value like [Account Values].
6. Add Linked Models to another model.
   => In this case, Cross Calculations is still editable.
7. Repeat Step 5 but select all values to set Filters for Cross Calculations.
   => The Cross Calculations shows grey and cannot be edited any more.

Scenario 3:

1. Log on to SAC tenant.
2. Create a story with Table on sample model [BestRunJuice_SampleModel].
3. Click Add Measures/Dimensions to add Cross Calculations from model [BestRunJuice_SampleModel].
4. Duplicate the table and then Add Linked Models to another model on the copied table.
   => In this case, Cross Calculations is still editable.
5. Save the story and then re-open it in Edit mode.
   => The Cross Calculations on the copied table shows grey and cannot be edited any more.

Cross Calculations or calculated dimensions are not supported for blended tables

This is currently by design. You can submit an enhancement request to require Cross Calculation supported for the blended on the customer influence site per SAP KBA 2424376.
