Resolution

Crystal Reports 2016

  1. Launch Crystal Reports 2016 designer.
  2. From the menu, click View -> Preferred Viewing Locale, change it to Japanese.
  3. Open the Crystal Reports 2016 document and edit.
  4. Right click the Date object field, choose Format Field.
  5. In Date tab, click Customize.
  6. Select Calendar Type as 和暦.
  7. Select Era/period Type as Long.
  8. Click OK to save.
  9. Notice that the Date object is displayed with the Japanese Era information. E.g. 平成 16/01/01

Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.2

  1. Launch Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.2 designer.
  2. From the menu, click View -> Preferred Viewing Locale, change it to Japanese.
  3. Open the Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.2 document and edit.
  4. Right click the Date object field, choose Format Formula Element.
  5. In left panel, click Format -> Date.
  6. Select Calendar as Japanese Calendar.
  7. Select Era/period as Long.
  8. Click OK to save.
  9. Notice that the Date object is displayed with the Japanese Era information. E.g. 平成 16/01/01
