2744754 - Using a Take Rule to Ensure an Employee has Attached a Document for Sick Leave

Symptom

How do you use a Take Rule to raise an error to ensure an employee has added an attachment if they request over a certain amount of Sick Leave (example 5 days)

Environment

Employee Central - Time Off

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Proxy as an employee and navigate to their profile
  2. Attempt to request sick leave of more than 5 days
  3. The user can submit the request without adding an attachment

Cause

You will need to create a Take Rule and assign it to the relevant Time Type.

Resolution

Please create a rule similar to the below and assign it to the Relevant Time Type.

The below above rule will raise an error if an employee requests more than 5 days but has not added an attachment.
