2746626 - Limit Standard Dashboard per Business Role

You are looking for a way to display a standard dashboard to specific users which are assigned to specific Business Roles in your system.

You can follow the steps below to check on the standard dashboards:

1. Navigate to Business Analytics Work Center.
2. Navigate to Design Dashboards Work Center View.
3. Search for the specific standard dashboard you would like to restrict to a business role.
4. See that it is not possible to edit this dashboard and specify a business role that will have access to it.

The standard dashboards can only  be published or unpublished, but they cannot be edited in order to specify a business role that will have access to it, hence it is needed to follow the workaround provided below.

In order to assign a standard dashboard to a specific business role in the system, it is required to build a custom dashboard as a copy of the standard one, following the steps below:

1. Acknowledge all the involved reports and reports view present in the standard dashboard you would like to copy.
2. Navigate to Business Analytics Work Center.
3. Navigate to Design Dashboards Work Center View.
4. Click the New Button.
5. Set the dashboard Name, Description and select the option 'Custom: only assigned roles can see the dashboard' under Authorization.
6. In the popup, select the business roles that should be allowed to see the dashboard.
7. From the All Reports tab, you may select the same report views that are present in the standard dashboard you would like your users to see.
8. Save the changes.

Please notice that the Business Role assignment must be active in the system, so that you can edit the dashboard created to specify a business role that will be able to see it when accessing their analysis work center.
