2746985 - Cannot Set Deactivation Date For Migrated Fixed Asset

Symptom

A deactivation date for the migrated Fixed Asset ABC is desired, but this is not possible because the Deactivation Date is grayed out. It is noticed that the status of the Fixed Asset ABC is Capitalized, despite its value being zero. Normally, when the value is zero, the status would show as In Preparation.

This is a migrated Fixed Asset. The migration service always sets the status of migrated Fixed Assets as “Capitalized,” even if there are no postings. With its zero value, the Fixed Asset cannot be scraped or sold. Therefore, the Deactivation Date needs to be set, which will then retire the Fixed Asset.

(ABC represents the Fixed Asset ID)
