Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics (ANA) - All versions

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Manage Headcount Planning
  2. Create a new template
  3. In Add Fields tab select the MDF Source Module
  4. For Source Entity select Position
  5. In Source Field list check that some Position fields are not available (e.g. Position Code)

Cause

The Position field visibility is set to Read-Only. In Headcount Planning only fields that can be edited in the position object are accepted. The main purpose of Headcount Planning is to plan the values for the fields you include in the planning template. Therefore all the read-only and auto-generated fields are excluded (e.g. "last modified by")

Resolution

  1. Go to Admin Center > Configure Object Definition
  2. Search for the Position object
  3. Click on Take Action > Make Correction
  4. Edit the field (e.g. Position Code)
  5. And set the Visibility to Editable
