2748303 - Disconnection errors with Server SQL - Data Services

Symptom

  • Execute jobs that uses Microsoft SQL Server as a source or target database.
  • The execution will fail with the following error:
    Error " <[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0]Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [2].
    [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0]A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible. Check if instance name is correct"
  • Database Traces may show the following errors:

    Error " Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0]SQL Server Network Interfaces:The system detected a possible attempt to compromise security. Please ensure that you can contact the server that authenticated you."

    Error " Error: 17806, Severity: 20, State: 14. SSPI handshake failed with error code 0x80090311, state 14 while establishing a connection with integrated security;
    the connection has been closed. Reason: AcceptSecurityContext failed. The Windows error code indicates the cause of failure."

    Error "Server,Unknown,The SQL Server Network Interface library could not register the Service Principal Name (SPN) [] for the SQL Server service. Windows return code: 0x2098<c/> state: 20. Failure to register a SPN might cause integrated authentication to use NTLM instead of Kerberos. This is an informational message. Further action is only required if Kerberos authentication is required by authentication policies and if the SPN has not been manually registered."

    Error " Logon,Unknown,SQL Server is not ready to accept new client connections. Wait a few minutes before trying again. If you have access to the error log<c/> look for the informational message that indicates that SQL Server is ready before trying to connect again. [CLIENT: ]  Severity: 16<c/> State: 1."
  • SPN configuration has been confirmed by DBA to be correct.
  • Domain Controller was confirmed to be operational by Network Administrator.
  • NT AUTHORITY \ SYSTEM user could not be granted master rights.
