2748406 - "abort tran on log" for the sybcatdb database is set to "true" by default. - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • When adding the sybcatdb database as repository for Workload Analyzer using the installsybcatdb script, the following message appears:

       Configure Name:abort tran on log full (sybcatdb)
       Current value: true
       Recommended Value: false
     
  • The "abort tran on log" database option for the sybcatdb database is set to "true" by default.

  • With this setting, when the sybcatdb database gets full during analysis, the analysis will be terminated immediately and an exception message will pop up in the ASE Cockpit interface.
