Symptom
Which Email ID will be used by system to send EC email notifications?
Environment
Successfactors Employee Central - Alerts and Notifications
Resolution
The email ID that will be synced to the users_sysinfo table is the one that gets EC email notifications.
- Generally speaking, business type email has hard-coded sync logic, while other types of email don’t.
- Primary is not taken into account during sync.
- A user can define hris sync mapping for all types of email, including business type email.
- The customized sync logic will overwrite the hard-coded logic (if they sync to the same destination).
Regardless of Primary or NOT primary, the email will be sent to the email ID that will be synced to users_sysinfo table, which will be business type email by default with no sync mapping.
