SAP Successfactors Employee Central Position Management

1. Create an import file for Job History and add a manager that is different from the current manager under Job Information.

2. Import the file. Go to Import Employee Data > Import > Job History

3. After importing the file, refresh the Employee Profile then navigate to Job Information.

4. Click on the "History" button to see the changes happened.

5. Click on the icon next to the effective date.

6. The button will prompt the details of the changes that will happen after the Offcycle Event Batch Processing Job runs. The manager will still follow the Position Hierarchy.

Automated Daily Hierarchy Adaptation is ON under Position Management Settings.

Automated Daily Hierarchy Adaptation is used to adapt the hierarchy on the Position, it will ignore the settings that unfollows the Position Hierarchy and will update all the position. This is an expected behavior, hence if the customer still wanted to get the existing manager then they need to turn off the Automated Daily Hierarchy Adaptation else, the system will follow the setting globally. They cannot have both scenario at the same time.

If the customer wants to get both scenario then enhancement request should be raised. Customer may follow KBA 2090228 to raise an enhancement request.
