2749405 - 'Action RELEASE Not Permitted for Status Released' Warning in Actual Cost Release Run

You created an Actual Cost Release Run, and you can see that there are several warning messages that says: 'Action RELEASE not permitted for status Released'.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Inventory Valuation Work Center.
2. Select the Actual Cost Release view.
3. Open the Run ABC (ABC represents the Actual Cost Release run ID).
4. Click the Messages tab.
5. You can see the warning messages: 'Action RELEASE not permitted for status Released'.

When checking the Not processed tab, you can see that all of the Materials appearing in this tab, are also appearing in the tab Messages. The warning is appearing: "Action RELEASE not permitted for status Released".

Those materials were not included because they already have a cost that was calculated in a released cost estimated.

The costing process is always multilevel. That is, the system costs (or attempts to cost) all materials at all levels of the structure. As per indicated warning message, those materials may already have a released cost estimate. Since, released cost estimates cannot be recalculated, those materials are also appearing in the Not Processed tab.
