Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Admin Tools > Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures
- Pay Component
- Edit Self Service Description:
- Save
View field:
- Got to user
- Profile, MSS Take Action, History
- example: USER Compensation Information
- Result:: The self service description doesn't appear
Cause
This expected behaviour
Resolution
This field is only displayed in the foundation object and will not show up anywhere else, even if filled with text.
It was originally intended to be used as a description for the Manager Self-Service UI but was never implemented.
Data Object Tables Foundation Object Tables handbook -> PayComponentthe > Self Service Description will be updated

Q) Can I see this field in User Profile, MSS Take Action, History?
A) No, event if the customer has given the pay component a Self Service Description in the pay component (FO) definition, and it is not displayed on the employee UIs (Profile, Compensation MSS Take Action, History).
