2749814 - Assignment Dates are not displayed in ORD but are in LMS reports

Symptom

  • For some records in ORD (Online Report Designer), the Assignment Date value is not populated with any data even though the Item has been completed;
  • When running similar reports in LMS, the Assignment Date is populated.

Cause

In ORD, blank Assignment Dates indicate that the items were deleted/removed from the users' Learning Plans in LMS. Due to that, the details are no longer stored in the tables which are referenced by ORD.

Resolution

The reports in both ORD and LMS are working as expected. 

ORD does not have access to the LMS PH tables (history tables), which have all the Assignment Date historical details. Due to that, when you run the similar report in LMS, as the LMS report have access to the PH tables, it can generate and report all Assignment Dates (even when the item is no longer on the user's Learning Plan) while ORD cannot.
