Symptom
Customer has configured a list of e-mail recipients for Compliance. When anyone post something or comments in any post in Jam these recipients are receiving notifications. Should Jam send these e-mails only when someone use a word included in the compliance dictionary or for all the feed events?
Environment
SAP Jam Collaboration.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Jam Admin area
- Go to Compliance & Security > Compliance
- Configure some words in the Dictionary tab to block when used
- Go to "Add Compliance e-mail" and add some e-mails to receive notifications
- Check that when anyone post something or comment the users are receiving e-mails, and not only when it contains any of the word of the dictionary
Cause
The compliance e-mail recipients will receive a copy of each feed event or private message sent to anyone in your company, not only for the dictionary items.
Resolution
This is an expected behavior. Since routing all feed items can generate a massive amount of data, it is recommended that you specify a dedicated e-mail address for use with this feature. More details about how the Compliance Monitoring feature works in Jam can be found in this page of SAP Help Portal: Configure Compliance monitoring
