2750513 - Alter Thread pool to change "thread count" can leak kernel resource memory - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Frequent and repeated change the thread count using alter thread pool command may lead to 'kernel resource memory' leak.
  • ASE could also terminated.
  • These messages can be seen in the ASE errorlog:
    • Kernel resource memory pool has been exhausted. Try increasing the value of 'kernel resource memory'.
    • Security layer initialization failed for engine [nn].
    • Failed to allocate memory for monitoring structures.
      Failed to allocate private monitoring area for thread 915.  This thread will use the server's shared monitoring area.
    • Address 0x0x000000000240559d (lm_list_prop+0x10d)
