Symptom

How to enable cost center field in account assignment tab while creating Purchase Order for account assignment 'P'(project)?

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

As per standard system behavior, for Account Assignment 'P'(Project - WBS element), field Cost Center will be set to Hidden.

Resolution

  1. Through SSCUI 101815 - Maintain Account Assignment Categories
  2. Select standard account assignment entry "P" 
  3. Select Copy as.
  4. Replace ''P' with any other alphabet or number(*Same is applicable for all other standard account assignment categories)
  5. Now all the Field Label will be editable and can be selected as Mandatory,optional ,display or hidden as per business requirement.
