2750992 - Pre-selected install option can cause running ASE to crash during installation of Cockpit - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE is up and running
  • User wants to install ASE Cockpit ONLY in console mode
  • Option "SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise" is pre-selected with "[-]"
  • Installation summary shows ASE components will be installed
  • During installation, ASE stacktraces with :

    Current process (0x650033) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
    Current Process is running on Engine 0
    Address 0x0x00000000000846e6 (), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x00000000000846e6)
