2751056 - Company Org Chart | How to restrict anyone's visibility?

• How do I control the user's visibility on Latest Company Org Chart?
• Is that possible to restrict the visibility only on specific users?
• How do I permit managers to see only their team in Org Chart?
• How to avoid a manager to see her/his manager but not the other manager's direct reporters?

These mentioned visibility perspectives can be controlled through the Role-Based Permissions settings.

The Company Org Chart offers a hierarchical view of the organization, which can be drilled up or down through the Up One Level or Org Chart node buttons in case of Position Org Chart, and Company Structure Overview, whereas for Org Chart, we have Latest Org Chart which has been implemented from 1H 2024, of any user who has direct/matrix reports.

The following permission roles are the prerequisites to access the org chart: 

• General User Permission > Company Info Access > Company Info Access
  • This permission gives users access to the Company Info page, where they can access the Org Chart and Employee Directory tabs.
    
    
• General User Permission > Company Info Access > Organization Chart Navigation Permission
  • This permission enables a user to access and navigate the org chart structure. You can restrict org chart navigation by setting a target population. Users can only see the org chart for people who are in their target population.
  • Note: When you grant the permission to users, add the users to the target population of themselves.
    
    
• General User Permission > Company Info Access > User Search
  
  • This permission grants access to users so they can search other employees on the org chart. You can define the target population on whom a user can search.
    
    
• General User Permission > Company Info Access > Succession Org Chart Permission.
  
  • If the Limit org chart access to succession org chart users option is enabled in Provisioning, you must also grant the users this permission.
  • This is applicable on legacy org chart only. 

In the Org Chart, the user will be able to view only these persons who are included in viewer's target population in RBP settings.

•  To manage which group of people anyone can see in Org Chart, it's adjusted through the target population.
  • The KBA 2116024 brings further guidance on how to manage target populations.

Note: The visibility of the total report count in OrgChart will not be adjusted to the count of users that the user can see, it will remain the count of total reports.
