2751785 - Migration of Completed Sales Orders

Symptom

Migration of Completed Sales Orders.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Resolution

Migration of Completed Sales Orders is not supported.

However, fully open Sales Orders can be migrated. A fully open sales order is one where none of the items have been delivered or invoiced, even partially. In this case, the entire sales order is migrated.

When migrating Partially Delivered and Invoiced Sales Orders, the following scenarios should be considered:

Sell From Stock (SFS) Examples:

  • Item 10 is fully delivered and invoiced but item 20 is neither delivered nor invoiced. Only item 20 is migrated.
  • If 100 pieces of Item 10 are ordered, with 40 delivered and 40 invoiced, only the remaining 60 pieces of Item 10 are migrated.
  • If 100 pieces of Item 10 are ordered, with 60 delivered and 30 invoiced, 30 pieces of Item 10 are already invoiced in the old system, and 40 pieces are migrated.

Sell Standardized Services (SSS) Examples.

  • If Item 10 is fully invoiced and Item 20 is not invoiced, only Item 20 is migrated.
  • If 100 pieces of Item 10 are ordered, with 30 invoiced, only the remaining 70 pieces of Item 10 are migrated.
