2751792 - SQL Anywhere Error -1000295: Invalid table name <table name> specified for option 'identity_insert' - SRS

Symptom

  • DSI EXEC thread to IQ may write the following error message repeatedly in the Replication Server error log file.

Message from server: Message: -1000295, State 0, Severity 14 -- 'SQL Anywhere Error -1000295: Invalid table name <table name> specified for option 'identity_insert'.
-- (dblib/db_Identity.cxx 309) '.

  • This error may occur if :
    • it's an ASE-to-IQ replication system.
    • the replication system has at least 2 Replication Servers and 1 route.
    • a primary table on ASE has an identity column, but the corresponding column of a replicate table on IQ is a non-identity column.
    • the identity column is defined "identity map to numeric" as a data type in a replication definition.
