2753100 - Counting the number of documents generated for a particular template

Symptom

Is there a way to count the number of documents generated for a particular template?

Environment

Employee Central - Document Generation.

Resolution

There is no standard functionality to count the number of documents generated for a particular template. However, you can use sequence object, create a rule and map to the template. Follow the below steps to generate a document with the sequence number.

Step 1 - Create a template from Manage Document Template.

Step 2 - Map the tags used in Step 1 from Manage Document Template Mapping. Kindly use the rule based mapping type for the sequence number to get generated.

Step 3 - Configure the sequence object in Manage Data > Sequence.

Step 4 - Configure the rule from rule engine.

Step 5 - Generate the document from Generate Document.

This number will increment by 1 step whenever the document is generated.
