2753297 - How to: Creating extension fields to new productive system not possible due to lack of created Documents

You would like to implement extension fields you have maintained in your test system to your productive system, but there are not any documents in your productive system yet.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to any Work Center where you would like to maintain extension fields, for example, the Work Center Sales Orders.
2. Open any Document, if available.
3. Go to Key User Settings.
4. Adaptation Mode.
5. As an example, if you have created a dummy document, under bill-to you cannot add any extension fields. If there are no documents yet, there is no way to create an extension field.

Currently, there is no way to add extension fields without visiting the view in adaptation mode. You have to add extension fields once a document is created.

In most of the cases, like Sales Orders for example, you can navigate to New Sales Order OIF to add an extension field, but for adding extension fields to the Sales Order fact sheet a document creation is needed.
