2753608 - Time Sheet UI Error 'You cannot enter times here because this time period is outside of your user’s active employment'.

When navigating to an employee's time sheet in profile, the error  "You cannot enter times here because this time period is outside of your user’s active employment."  is shown but user is active from the beginning.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Sheet

1. Go to an employee's profile.
2. Navigate to time sheet portlet. 
3. Error is shown: "You cannot enter times here because this time period is outside of your user’s active employment."

• If issue occurs for some employees in the instance, it is a data related issue. There may be multiple records with end-date as 31-12-9999, and one of the records may have the employee-status as something other than 'Active'. This can be checked by running the check tool for 'Only one high-date exists for job information' to check the same.

• If it happening for all employees in the instance, export the picklists in the instance to check if en_US description/translation is present for 'employee-status'. The issue occurs if the en_US description is blank for employee-status.

• The high-date issue in job information can be rectified by following the given KBA: 2317955 - Correct or Remove Job Information record via Import in Full Purge mode
• If the en_US description is missing, export the picklist, maintain employee-status translation for en_US and then import the updated picklist.
