2753815 - Error when updating connector: Feature not supported. Cannot shorten the field length

You have changed the search model for a certain search connector.
This is usually done via the implementation of an SAP Note that makes changes to the model.

Next you need to update the existing search connectors that have the "Modified" flag active.
You attempt to update the search connectors in the ESH_COCKPIT.

The update fails with error:

Error message: feature not supported: cannot shorten the field length: <field name>
