2753854 - Benefits balance carry forward

Balance carry forward has been set to particular date in benefit but still the Balance carry forward amount shows after carry forward date is over.

Benefits balance carry forward will be shown according to the schedule period. For ex: If you have a benefit with monthly schedule period and have set value in 'Balance carry Forward Upto Date' to end of the month, then balance carry forward amount will end at the end of that month as per the configuration. In-case, if you have a benefit with yearly schedule period and have set value in 'Balance carry Forward Upto Date' to end of the 1st month, then balance carry forward amount will not end at 1st month and will continue until the end of that year.

Set benefits balance carry forward according to the schedule period. In-case if you need to have a balance carry forward amount only until the end of the month, then schedule period should be monthly. Our engineering team will enhance the feature through enhancement request BEN-3633, kindly check for future release notes to check if the enhancement is released.

Work-around: In-case if you have already created a benefit with Annual/Monthly schedule period and provided a certain date in 'Balance carry Forward Upto Date' and you would like to end the balance carry forward at that particular date.

On reaching the date provided in 'Balance carry Forward Upto Date' field, kindly follow the below steps:

1. Remove the 'Benefit Schedule Period' from the Benefit Schedule in which would like to remove the date.
2. Remove the date from 'Balance carry Forward Upto Date' field and make the field blank.
3. Assign the Benefit Schedule Period from the Benefit Schedule.

For Example: The Schedule period is set Annually for 2018 and in 'Balance carry Forward Upto Date', '15-Jan-2019' has been given to allow users to use old balance until 15-Jan-2019, in that case after 15-Jan-2019, you can follow the above mentioned steps and make 'Balance carry Forward Upto Date' blank so that after 15-Jan-2019, users will not be able to claim the old balance.

We can also limit the amount carry forwarded from a schedule period, maximum amount carry forwarded and upper limit using the fields 'Carry Forward Upto Schedule Periods', 'Maximum Carry Forward Amount' & 'Upper Limit on Carry Forward Amount' in the benefits accordingly.
