How are the files imported to SuccessFactors in Scheduled Jobs?

The imports and exports of files in Scheduled Jobs is done through SFTP Servers. This way, before requesting the creation of a scheduled job that will treat with files, please make sure you have a SFTP Account available to use. You can see all the details about SFTP Accounts and the details in this KBA: SuccessFactors SFTP account details

Once you have the SFTP Account details, it is possible to configure the job to pick the file from SFTP and import or export the file from SF and upload on SFTP. It is important to remember that the scheduled jobs settings can only be accessed by Implementation Partners or by Support Engineers, since it is located in Provisioning.

How import works?

All the import jobs will look for the file with that specific name in the specific folder in the specific SFTP Account.

How export works?

The export job will upload the result file in the folder configured in the Job with the specific name provided. If the job doesn't have a date format configured and the file is not removed from the SFTP folder, in the next run that file will be overwritten by the new one, since both files will have the same name.
