2754631 - 4K 256 DPI Monitor settings in CR for VS Windows form Viewer do not scale accordingly

Symptom

We have detected the following problem in the Crystal Reports Viewer regarding DPI awareness - Status bar is truncated (text only partially visible) - Contents of the "Search text" dialog only partially visible - Toolbar icons are too small and blurred.

It was tested with OS Win10, 4k monitor, DPI value set to 225%.

Reproducing the Issue

Windows 10, with a DPI value > 100%, all applications that are not DPI-aware are scaled by the operating system, these users have blurred surfaces (effect of scaling). DPI values > 100% are required when users are unable to see due to their vision or display (4K monitors, notebooks with high-resolution displays). need larger UI representations for optimal application operation. All UI elements must be clear and concise and must not cause any problems during operation.

Resolution

This issue has now been escalated to our Developers for a solution
